Why we launched the Powerstack newsletter

CTVC became the reference point for climate tech because we did something simple really well: we cut through a noisy, fast-moving market in a digestible way and uncovered new sectors & topics each week. Now, we’re launching Powerstack to bring that same editorial focus to the power system.

The power sector is in the middle of a structural reshaping. Data center-driven load growth, interconnection bottlenecks, new generation buildout, and rapid policy shifts are all happening at once. But the landscape is fragmented. Practitioners are piecing together their view from LinkedIn hot takes, regulatory filings, earnings calls, and half a dozen newsletters that cover energy broadly but power at the surface-level.

There's simply too much happening in power to contain it in CTVC alone, it needed its own title. We once coined the Climate Capital Stack. Turns out Power needed its own Stack too.
